المؤسسة القطرية للعمل الاجتماعي تحتفي باليوم الوطني بفعاليات شاملة تعزز الاندماج الاجتماعي في الحي الثقافي كتارا

The Qatar Foundation for Social Work, together with its affiliated centers, has launched an extensive program of national activities at Katara Cultural Village in celebration of Qatar National Day, coinciding with the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. The events began on December 2 and will continue until December 18.

The celebrations have attracted a remarkable turnout from citizens, residents, and visitors arriving in the country to attend the Arab Cup. The vibrant and interactive environment reflected the Foundation’s ability to bring together diverse segments of society in a setting that embodies the spirit of national belonging.

The program features the participation of the Foundation and all its affiliated centers through cultural and heritage segments, artistic performances, and daily sports competitions designed for the public. Each center presents its dedicated segment on one of the event days, offering content that targets all members of society while showcasing the identity of each center within a unified framework that blends culture, heritage, and sports.

The stage also hosts a daily segment focusing on one of the key values of social work, presented through simplified and interactive content that helps audiences better understand these values and recognize the Foundation’s role in promoting and embedding them within the community.

The stage aims to provide engaging experiences that raise awareness about citizenship values and social cohesion, giving visitors from within and outside Qatar the opportunity to learn about the Foundation’s efforts in supporting various social groups. Dedicated booths have been set up for each affiliated center, featuring competitions tailored to the groups they serve, along with recreational activities that encourage direct interaction with the public.

As part of the event, the Foundation organized a Majlis for Valued Elderly, welcoming members of the Ehsan Center in a space that blends traditional ambiance with a spirit of appreciation, reflecting their important role in building the community. The event also includes a special booth dedicated to one of the projects incubated by the Nama Center, as well as a photography corner that allows visitors to capture and commemorate their experience in an atmosphere that celebrates the National Day spirit.

On this occasion, Ms. Noor Saleh Al-Muhanadi, Director of the Communication Department at the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, expressed the Foundation’s pride in participating in this distinguished national celebration. She emphasized that hosting the National Day activities at Katara, especially during the Arab Cup—reflects the Foundation’s commitment to reaching diverse segments of society and introducing them to the services provided by its affiliated centers. She noted that the event offers an ideal platform to showcase the Foundation’s work in an interactive and family-friendly manner that strengthens national identity and reinforces the values of belonging.

Since its launch, the event has attracted strong public interest, underscoring its success in delivering rich national and social content that combines entertainment with awareness. The activities contribute to strengthening social bonds and highlighting the role of the Foundation and its centers, and they will continue until December 18, 2025.
